”Pilgrimage to the 88 Kannons - How to Receive a Special Go-shuin”
There is a special go-shuin for the Pilgrimage to 88 Kannons. At the conferment desks of each of the eight temples, there is a go-shuin sheet in the shape of a lotus, and you can receive a special go-shuin with that sheet.
*The go-shuin will require 300 yen for one sheet.
“What’s a Go-shuin?”
A go-shuin is written evidence that you visited a temple. A half-sheet of paper with a go-shuin (with shu meaning “vermillion” and in meaning “stamp”) will also have the name of the temple, the name of the image of the Buddha, and the date you visited, all hand-written in black ink. First, visit the image of the Buddha, and after that, you can receive a go-shuin at a conferment desk. (*It costs money)

Exclusive Go-shuin Notebook
When you open to a page in the Exclusive Go-shuin Notebook, the right side will have a photo of the Eleven-Faced Kannon, and the left side is made so you can paste your special go-shuin onto the page. You will be able to keep the special go-shuin from all eight temples you visit in this one notebook. It is sold at the conferment desks of each of the eight temples.
